Which Stocks Gained the Most Today as Istanbul Stock Exchange Continues to Decline?
The BIST 100 continued its downward trend today.
The BIST 100 started the day with a rise towards 9,300 points but continued to decline due to subsequent selling. In the last hour, the index dropped below yesterday's low level, trading down 2% below 9,050 points. The index outside the BIST 100 also experienced a loss of nearly 1.5% today.
In terms of sectors, the most significant declines were seen in technology, sports, and transportation. The communication sector distinguished itself positively from the market with a 3% increase towards the close, while the insurance, cement, and banking sectors also showed rises of over half a percentage point in the last hour.

The top five losing stocks in the BIST 100 as the market approached the close were listed as:
- GESAN
- PGSUS
- ODAS
- EKGYO
- ASELS
Overall in Borsa Istanbul, EUKYO, DURDO, and OZRDN reached their ceiling prices, becoming the biggest gainers. SURGY, CEOEM, and AVHOL were among the biggest losers today.
In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL is moving below 34.5 as evening approaches. Euro/TL has declined by half a percentage point to 36.37. Gold per gram is trading at around 2,930 TL, with a 0.3% increase.
In international markets, European indices are moving negatively towards the close, while U.S. indices started the day with selling pressure.
