MARKET OUTLOOK - Inflation in the UK Expected to Rise to 3%
Foreks - Pantheon Macroeconomics' chief economist Rob Wood stated that headline inflation in the UK is expected to reach 3.0% in April and remain at that level until the summer of 2025. "We expect the rise in core goods prices to reflect somewhat stronger cost increases," Wood said, predicting that UK inflation will slow down from October 2025 onwards. Wood added, "Service inflation is likely to remain close to its current rate for the remainder of 2024 and will decline to 4.3% by the end of 2025."
