Garanti BBVA’s New Subsidiary, Garanti Payment and Electronic Money Services Inc., Launches under the TAMİ Brand
Foreks - Garanti BBVA has launched its new subsidiary, Garanti Payment and Electronic Money Services AŞ, under the TAMİ brand, which provides payment systems infrastructure and digital payment solutions. According to a statement from the bank, TAMİ aims to make a significant impact in the rapidly growing world of e-commerce and online payments with innovative products and solutions that it will offer to businesses and end-users, leveraging Garanti BBVA’s expertise in payment systems and strong technological infrastructure. The objectives of TAMİ, which will provide a brand new and completely digital payment experience, along with the latest developments in e-commerce and payments, were shared with the public during a press conference hosted by Garanti BBVA (BME: BBVA) Deputy General Manager Ceren Acer Kezik and TAMİ General Manager Melda Çetin.
The main products of TAMİ, Garanti BBVA’s new payment and e-money company, will be Multi-Bank POS and Prepaid Card. Customers can apply for these products via tami.com.tr, the TAMİ mobile application, or through Garanti BBVA's digital channels, such as Garanti BBVA Mobile and Garanti BBVA Internet, as well as Garanti BBVA branches. TAMİ will simplify life for businesses focused on e-commerce or those just beginning their journey, as customers will be able to operate as if they had POS devices from multiple banks by acquiring a single TAMİ POS. This will allow customers to benefit from installment options offered by these banks and view all their reports in a consolidated manner from a single location. On the other hand, with its prepaid card solution, TAMİ will also facilitate the lives of housewives, students, and young individuals who currently do not have access to the banking system and cannot own credit cards but have an online shopping need. Customers can easily obtain a TAMİ prepaid card through the mentioned channels and load money onto it from any bank account, allowing them to use their cards instantly for e-commerce transactions.

We offer several types of cards to prepaid cardholders, including an anonymous card that can be used without any age verification with a limit of 2,750 TL and a parent-controlled card for children aged 12-18. Young people over the age of 12 can use their cards above this limit upon verification and approval from their parents. They can spend the amounts they have placed in their accounts freely and securely through both physical and online channels. Parents can also monitor their children's expenditures and set sector-based spending limits. We offer cashback campaigns that customers can benefit from while using their cards, the ability to transfer money to and from an IBAN, PtoP money transfer via “From Tamil to Tamil QR” or phone number, and e-wallet products.
