Which Stocks Gained the Most Today on Borsa İstanbul?

The BIST 100 exhibited volatile movements on the first trading day of the week.

After starting the day with a partial increase, the BIST 100 index fell to 9,315 points due to sales coming from the 9,432 level. The index traded in a narrow band between 9,330 and 9,370 points for most of the day, but stepped back into the 9,400 points range with purchases in the last hour. It was observed that the non-BIST 100 index performed relatively better today.

When looking at the sub-sector indices, the sports index distinguished itself positively with an increase of nearly 5%. Other rising sector indices registered gains of around 1%, with cement, metal goods, and metals occupying the top ranks. The sectors that declined the most towards the close were communications, food, and insurance.

Among the stocks in Istanbul Stock Exchange, KSTUR, GLBMD, and YYAPI were at the top of the gainers list. Meanwhile, CEOEM, PRZMA, and SURGY stocks were the biggest decliners today.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL rose by over 0.3% to 34.5 in the evening hours, while the euro/TL traded near 36.55 with an increase of about 0.2%. The gram gold is trading at nearly 2,900 TL, showing an increase of just over 2%.

In foreign markets, Asian indices closed mixed with a heavier decline on the first day of the week. European indices continue to show a decreasing trend towards the close. It is seen that the FTSE 100 is positively distinguishing itself along with the BIST 100 in Europe. Among US indices, the Dow Jones opened partially lower, while the other two main indices, S&P 500 and Nasdaq, opened positively.
