The First Meeting of the Turkey-Iraq JETCO Mechanism to be Held in Istanbul in December

The first meeting of the Turkey-Iraq JETCO mechanism will be held in Istanbul in December. The Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, stated via his X account, "We are in Baghdad, which is the first leg of our visit to Iraq, one of our important trading partners and a friendly neighbor. In the framework of our visit, I met with my esteemed counterpart, Iraqi Minister of Trade, Mr. Atir el-Gireyri, and his delegation to discuss areas of bilateral cooperation, new opportunities, mutual investments, and the Development Road Project." Bolat added, "We have agreed to hold the first meeting of the Turkey-Iraq JETCO mechanism, where we will comprehensively address the trade relations between our countries, in Istanbul in December. On this occasion, I would like to thank my dear brother el-Gireyri and his delegation for their warm hospitality."
