Treasury Announces November Auction Schedule

The Treasury announced it will hold auctions for 7 bonds in November and will directly sell two lease certificates. It published the "Domestic Borrowing Strategy" report for the next three months. On November 4, Monday, it will reissue a 10-month (308 days) bond maturing on September 10, 2025, and a 4-year (1,400 days) bond maturing on September 6, 2028, which pays coupons quarterly and is indexed to TLREF.

On November 5, Tuesday, the Treasury will reintroduce a 3-year (1,015 days) bond maturing on August 10, 2027, indexed to CPI, and a 10-year (3,612 days) fixed coupon bond maturing on September 27, 2034. Both bonds will pay coupons semi-annually. The value date for the four auctions, which will take place over two days, has been set for November 6, 2024, Wednesday.

The Treasury will hold another auction for two bonds on November 11, Monday. These include a 2-year (637 days) fixed coupon bond maturing on August 12, 2026, that pays coupons semi-annually, and a 6-year (2,345 days) variable interest bond maturing on April 16, 2031, which also pays coupons semi-annually.

On November 12, Tuesday, a 2-year (546 days) U.S. Dollar denominated government bond with a maturity date of May 13, 2026, that pays coupons semi-annually will be sold directly. On the same day, the direct sale of a 2-year (546 days) U.S. Dollar denominated lease certificate and a 2-year (728 days) lease certificate maturing on November 11, 2026, which pays rent every six months, will take place.

Additionally, on November 12, a 5-year (1,764 days) fixed coupon bond maturing on September 12, 2029, that pays coupons semi-annually will be reintroduced. The value date for the issuances occurring over the two days has been set for November 13, 2024, Wednesday.

Regarding domestic borrowing, the Treasury plans to borrow a total of 630.4 billion TL against an internal debt service of 404.6 billion TL in November, December, and January. According to the Treasury's November 2024 Domestic Borrowing Strategy, it plans to borrow a total of 225.2 billion TL against a domestic debt service of 119.8 billion TL in November, a total of 125 billion TL against a domestic debt service of 67.6 billion TL in December, and a total of 280.2 billion TL against a domestic debt service of 217.2 billion TL in January.
