Turkcell Recognized with Two Awards at the IPRA Golden Awards

Turkcell (IS: TCELL) was awarded two prizes at the IPRA Golden Awards, one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the field of public relations. Turkcell received these special awards for its Circular Waste Launch Children's Book and Tent City Earthquake Region Children's Activity projects. Mustafa Alcan, Turkcell's Director of Corporate Communication, Media, and Brand Management, stated, "On our 30th anniversary, the awards we won in two areas we hold dear, such as environmental and social sustainability, reflect the steps we have taken in the field of social benefit. We are very happy to receive an award at such a prestigious organization. We will continue to work for our country and our people."

Turkcell was honored at the IPRA Golden Awards for its two different projects aimed at children in the fields of social sustainability and the environment. The Tent City Earthquake Region Children's Activity project won in the Event Management category, while the Circular Waste Launch Children's Book collaboration project received the award in the Environment category.

Mustafa Alcan expressed, "Receiving an award at a prestigious organization like the IPRA Golden World Awards, which honors successful public relations efforts worldwide, brings us great joy this year as well. On our 30th anniversary, these awards, won through projects focused on children in areas we value greatly, such as environmental and social sustainability, are also a reflection of the steps we have taken in social benefit. I would like to thank all my colleagues and stakeholders involved in these meaningful projects for their valuable contributions. As Türkiye's Turkcell, we will continue to work to do our best for our country and our people."

Every child became a "waste hero" in their own home.

As part of the Circular Waste Launch Children's Book project, aimed at raising awareness of environmental issues among future generations, the children's book titled "Ant Leg and Giant Leaf" was digitized and narrated by Turkcell. Children who read the book and brought their e-waste to an organization authorized by TÜBİSAD or to the e-waste bins in Turkcell stores received a 'Circular Waste Electronic Certificate.' Thus, every child became their home's 'waste hero.'

The initiative reached 50,000 children and 75,000 parents.

To heal the wounds of citizens affected by the earthquake, Turkcell launched the "Heart Connection Projects." The Tent City Earthquake Region Children's Activity, organized as part of this initiative, took place in 20 different locations in Hatay, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, and Adıyaman. It reached 50,000 children, 75,000 parents, and visitors. While families' needs for hygiene materials were met, children enjoyed cheerful times through various activities and workshops, providing them with morale.
