Yapı Kredi (YKBNK) stands out with its strong financial performance in the first nine months of 2024. The bank significantly contributed to the national economy by providing 1.7 trillion Turkish lira in resources, while its total cash loan volume increased by 35% since the beginning of the year, reaching 1.2 trillion lira. Yapı Kredi, with an active customer base nearing 16.5 million, has increased its total assets by 48% to 2.5 trillion lira, and total customer deposits reached 1.3 trillion lira, marking a 25% increase. As of the third quarter, the bank reported a return on equity of 16.4% and a capital adequacy ratio of 14.8%.

Gökhan Erün, CEO of Yapı Kredi, stated that they continue to add value to the national economy by increasing their customer base with an unlimited service understanding. He noted that they hold a market share of 16.3% in Turkish lira loans, 13.9% in customer deposits, and 15.4% in cash loan volumes among private banks, emphasizing their commitment to continue adding value to customers by breaking down boundaries.

International Financing and Eurobond Issuance

Gökhan Erün announced that Yapı Kredi has affirmed confidence in the national economy through financing sourced from international markets. The issuance of eurobonds worth 500 million dollars in September showcased the bank's international success. Erün mentioned that this transaction attracted nearly four times the demand from foreign investors and stated that the total amount of foreign borrowing completed since September 2023 has reached 7 billion dollars.

These successful financing efforts highlight the trust in both Turkey’s and the bank's international financial stability. Yapı Kredi continues to hold a significant place in the banking sector through its operations in the international arena.

Yapı Kredi's Opening in Germany and Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Continuing its international expansion, Yapı Kredi has opened a new branch in Germany, broadening its operational field. After Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, Germany is now among the bank’s cross-border affiliates. Yapı Kredi Germany aims to be a strong solution partner for firms engaged in trade between Turkey and Germany, while also working to strengthen its operations in Germany in line with the vision of its main shareholder, Koç Holding.

Increased support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem is provided through the "Yapı Kredi FRWRD First Venture Capital Investment Fund," which plays a significant role in connecting investors with entrepreneurs to create capital and investment opportunities. Managed by Yapı Kredi Portfolio's expert team, the fund supports the growth and development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Social Responsibility and Sustainability Efforts

Yapı Kredi has been contributing to Turkey’s cultural and social development for 80 years. The bank continues to pursue its goal of creating both economic and social value through social responsibility projects. Engaging in various fields from the Yapı Kredi Afife Theatre Awards, cultural and artistic projects, to the "Snowball for Tomorrow" project, Yapı Kredi is gradually realizing its vision of sustainability. With its "Equal Opportunity in Technology" program, the bank aims to provide education to 80,000 women and is making great efforts to contribute to children's development.

Gökhan Erün stated that the bank has been operating sustainably since its inception and focuses on creating social impact. The Yapı Kredi Step program and the projects carried out in collaboration with Koç Holding (KCHOL) continue to achieve significant success in gender equality and the social development of children.
