Alcoa Believes Copper Substitution Will Strengthen Aluminum

Speaking at a conference in Sydney, Oplinger remarked, “Looking ahead, the increase in demand will be driven by this energy transition,” and noted that as demand surpasses copper supply, aluminum demand will rise due to its readiness as a substitute in certain applications.
