Google States Next-Generation AI Agents Won't Launch Until 2025 at the Earliest
Foreks - Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL) will not release the technology behind its extensive effort Project Astra, aimed at creating artificial intelligence applications and "intermediaries" for real-time, multimodal understanding, until as early as next year.
During Google's Q3 earnings call on Tuesday, CEO Sundar Pichai clarified the timeline. Pichai stated, "Google is developing experiences where AI can see the world around you and reason about it. Project Astra provides a glimpse into that future. We are working to deliver experiences like this as early as 2025."
Project Astra, introduced by Google at the I/O developer conference in May 2024, encompasses a range of technologies from smartphone applications that can recognize the world around them and answer relevant questions, to AI assistants capable of performing actions on behalf of users.
