Serkan Uğraş Kaygalak, General Manager of Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, commented on the financial results for the third quarter of 2024, stating: “The individual pension and life insurance sectors continue to grow in 2024. According to the Pension Monitoring Center's data as of September 30, 2024, our total fund size in the Individual Pension System (BES) increased by 49.7% compared to the beginning of the year, surpassing 200 billion TL, while our number of participants grew by 6.3%, exceeding 3 million. Additionally, our company maintained its leadership among private equity companies in both categories, with more than 1.5 million voluntary BES participants and an automatic enrollment fund size reaching 11 billion TL. Our life insurance premium production increased by 81.9% in the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, exceeding 8.7 billion TL. Our active size reached 242 billion TL, and our equity capital stood at 8.3 billion TL.”
Kaygalak continued, “Our Integrated Sustainability Report was prepared in accordance with the International Integrated Reporting Framework. In this quarter, following the sustainability reports published over the past three years, we released our First Integrated Sustainability Report. Our report addresses the sustainability approach, strategies, goals, and performance of our company within the value creation process. Given that this year’s report is an ‘integrated sustainability report,’ we added the title ‘A Good Future for Our Economy’ to our previous year’s report, which consisted of ‘A Good Future for Our Customers,’ ‘A Good Future for Our World,’ and ‘A Good Future for Our Employees.’ In this section, we discussed our responsible investments, impact investing, contributions to the economy, and the value we create. Moreover, we continue to balance our carbon footprint resulting from our operations since 2016 by contributing to renewable energy projects.”
Kaygalak also noted, “The number of users of FonMatik ROBO, the individual pension fund robot we launched for participants in 2019, reached 100,000 in the third quarter of 2024. FonMatik ROBO, one of our company’s most significant digital solutions aimed at participants who struggle with fund selection, lack information about financial markets, or cannot find enough time to manage their savings, manages 10% of our fund size in voluntary BES, amounting to 16.6 billion TL. The user count reaching 100,000 is a significant milestone in our company’s digital transformation journey and clearly indicates that we are one of the pioneering companies driving digital transformation in our sector. As we approach the end of 2024, we will continue to enhance our position in the sector by elevating digitalization and customer experience to even higher levels while strengthening our pioneering efforts in sustainability.”
