The BIST 100 index started the week at 8,936.03, up by 0.31%.
The BIST 100 recorded a rise of 1.31% in last week's transactions, ending a four-week streak of negative closes. The banking sector was among the leading sectors that limited the index's rise, with a decline of 0.34% last week. Following a positive opening on a short trading day, the outlook remained positive for the BIST 100, with factoring, SMEs, and tourism being the sectors that saw the most growth at the opening. Insurance, food, and construction, on the other hand, were among the sectors that started the day in negative territory.

Conversely, the stocks that started the day with declines included: ADEL ARCLK CCOLA VESBE AEFES
In the Istanbul Stock Exchange, EGEEN reached its ceiling price at the opening, along with FMIZP and ALCTL being the top gainers. The stocks that experienced the most significant declines in early transactions were EUHOL, GMTAS, and OYAYO.
In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL started the week at 34.28. Euro/TL experienced a decline of nearly 0.2%, trading at 37.02, and gram gold is trading around 3,016 TL, with a decrease of nearly half a point.
In international markets, Asian indices showed a positive trend on the first day of the week. European and U.S. futures indices also appear to have started the week positively.
