Oil Transported Through Pipelines in Turkey Decreased by 1.2% in September

The amount of crude oil transported via pipelines passing through Turkey decreased by 1.2% in September compared to the previous month. According to data available on BOTAŞ's website, oil flow from four pipelines in September totaled 25 million 609 thousand barrels. The amount of oil transported in August was 25 million 925 thousand barrels.

There are five crude oil pipelines in Turkey: Iraq-Turkey, Ceyhan-Kırıkkale, Batman-Dörtyol, Dörtyol-Ceylan, and BTC. However, there has been no oil flow through the Iraq-Turkey oil pipeline for approximately two years.

In the specified month, 2 million 563 thousand barrels were transported via the Ceyhan-Kırıkkale line, 3 million 90 thousand barrels via the Batman-Dörtyol line, and 2 million 563 thousand barrels via the Dörtyol-Ceylan line. The amount of oil from BTC decreased from 16 million 849 thousand barrels in August to 17 million 393 thousand barrels in September.

In the first nine months of the year, the total oil flow was 240 million 631 thousand barrels, comprising 25 million 13 thousand barrels from the Ceyhan-Kırıkkale line, 25 million 859 thousand barrels from the Batman-Dörtyol line, 24 million 833 thousand barrels from the Dörtyol-Ceylan line, and 164 million 926 thousand barrels from the BTC line.
