Headline: Nagel Urges Action to Prevent Further Decline of German Economy
Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel stated that Germany is not facing a deep economic contraction, but steps need to be taken to prevent things from worsening. Nagel emphasized that the most important thing right now is for the German government to work on implementing an agreed growth measures package for the economy. At the IMF and World Bank annual meetings, Nagel remarked, "This will make a significant contribution to strengthening growth forces. However, anything that can extend beyond 2025 would certainly be welcome from the central bank's perspective."
