The BIST 100 index opened today with a 0.17% increase, starting at 8,853.83 points.

Yesterday, the BIST 100 closed the trading session with a 2.13% rise at 8,838.6 points. The daily trading volume in the BIST 100 increased to 85.3 billion TRY, representing 78.4% of the total volume. Among 100 stocks, 89 ended the day higher while 10 lost value.

After a slightly positive opening, the BIST 100 experienced a partial decline in early trading. Outside the BIST 100, other indexes remained up by 0.3% in the first hour. In the Istanbul Stock Exchange, food, metal, and information technology stocks were the highest gainers at the opening. Transportation, commerce, insurance, and banking stocks started the day in negative territory. Across the Istanbul Stock Exchange, AZTEK, PATEK, and ALFAS were the stocks that started with the highest gains, while SAFKR, BRMEN, and MARKA shares saw the most decline at the opening.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the USD/TRY is steady at 34.25. The EUR/TRY is trading with a slight decrease at 36.97, while gold per gram maintains its positive outlook, trading at 3,030 TRY.

In international markets, Chinese indexes continued their positive trend today. European indexes began the day on a positive note. Meanwhile, U.S. futures indexes showed a slightly negative movement in the morning.
