Kocaer Çelik Achieves 13.1 Billion Lira in Net Revenue in the First 9 Months of the Year
Kocaer Çelik (IS:KCAER) achieved 74% of its total sales abroad in the first nine months of the year, generating a net revenue of 13.1 billion lira during this period. According to the information in the company's "Activity Report," despite a planned 66-day downtime for revision investments at the Aliağa A1 Factory in the first quarter, the total sales volume reached 409,000 tons in the first nine months of the year (2023/9: 423,000 tons).
The report stated: "After the completion of the revision investments, both the total sales volumes and the share of value-added products within total sales have continued to increase each quarter in 2024. With the impact of new products introduced in the factories, total sales rose from 125,000 tons in the first quarter to 138,000 tons in the second quarter and 146,000 tons in the third quarter, while the share of value-added products in these sales also increased from last year's 39% to 40.4% in the first nine months. The company, which realized 74% of its total sales abroad in the first nine months of the year, achieved a net revenue of 13.1 billion lira between January 1 and September 30, 2024. Despite the challenging conditions in the industry, Kocaer Çelik distinguishes itself positively from the sector with its product diversity, flexible production capability, and qualified value-added product portfolio. With the completion of investments in high value-added products and the addition of new products to the portfolio, it is expected that the share of value-added products within the total portfolio will continue to increase in the remaining months of the year and in 2025."
