Lightning: Conditions Ahead Will Support Production, Employment, and Exports

The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, stated, "In the upcoming period, more supportive global conditions, an increasing sense of security and predictability, improving expectations, and structural steps will support production, employment, and exports."

In his remarks, Şimşek continued: "Labor force indicators are performing more positively than our program targets, and the unemployment rate stood at a low level of 8.6% in September.

Although the contraction in industrial production, which began in the second quarter, has slowed down, it continued into the third quarter as well. This development was significantly influenced by Europe’s weak demand and the short-term temporary effects of our steps aimed at strengthening macro-financial stability on growth.

In the upcoming period, more supportive global conditions, an increasing sense of security and predictability, improving expectations, and structural steps will support production, employment, and exports."
