Akfen Electricity's Amasya Wind Farm Project Environmental Impact Assessment Application Opened for Public Review
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Application File for the Amasya Wind Farm project planned by Akfen Electricity has been opened for public review. An announcement regarding this issue on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit, and Inspection provided the following information:
"The Environmental Impact Assessment process has commenced for the Amasya Wind Power Plant (6 turbines - 30 MWm/30 MWe) and Electricity Storage Facility (30 MWe/60 MWh) project planned to be built by AKFEN ELECTRICITY SALES, Inc. within the borders of the Central district of Amasya province, and the Environmental Impact Assessment Application File has been opened for public review. A Public Participation Meeting will be held on 02/12/2024, in accordance with Article 9 of the EIA Regulation, to inform the public about the project and receive their opinions and suggestions. Those wishing to review the EIA Application File can do so at the Ministry's headquarters or in the Amasya Provincial Directorates of Environment and Urbanism, starting from the date of the announcement, and they may submit their opinions to the Ministry or the Governorship within the scheduled timeframe regarding the project. Information concerning the location and time of the Public Participation Meeting can be obtained from the General Directorate of EIA and the Amasya Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanism, and Climate Change."
