Audi Plans to Lay Off Thousands Outside of Production

According to Manager Magazin, German automaker Audi plans to reduce its workforce in the medium term by cutting jobs in areas outside of production, putting thousands of positions at risk. The report states that layoffs will focus on indirect jobs, such as those in development, where more than 2,000 positions could be eliminated. The company aims for an overall reduction of about 15%, which would affect 4,500 indirect jobs in Germany alone.
