Turkey's Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production Sets Record in October

The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, stated on his X account, "In October, we achieved an all-time record in both oil and natural gas production. With new drilling and exploration in the upcoming period, we hope to further increase our oil and natural gas production." According to this, the highest monthly production to date in crude oil was achieved in October with 3 million 361 thousand 725 barrels. On October 29, 2024, a daily production record was set at 111 thousand 280 barrels. Natural gas production peaked on October 23, 2024, with 7 million 908 thousand 44 m³ for daily production, and 234 million 384 thousand 17 m³ for the entire month. Bayraktar emphasized, "Our goal is a fully independent Turkey in energy."
