Turkey and Kyrgyzstan Sign 19 Agreements
Turkey and Kyrgyzstan have signed 19 agreements in various fields including security, energy, education, health, and culture. Following a bilateral meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov, a joint press conference was held to provide statements.
In his remarks, President Erdoğan stated, “As the first country to recognize the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic 33 years ago, we are strengthening our deep-rooted ties every day. In our bilateral and inter-delegation meetings with my valuable brother, Mr. Japarov, we reviewed all aspects of our relations. We elevated our strategic partnership, established in 2011, to a comprehensive strategic partnership level in a manner befitting our fraternity with the document we just signed. We signed 19 agreements, including a joint statement in many areas such as security, energy, education, health, and culture. Today, we also assessed potential joint steps that can be taken in the fields of security, defense, industry, and counter-terrorism.”
Additionally, during the meeting, President Japarov presented the Manas Order to President Erdoğan.
