Chicken Meat Production Reaches 214,116 Tons, Egg Production Hits 1.83 Billion Units
In September, chicken meat production reached 214,116 tons, and egg production amounted to 1.83 billion units. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), in September, compared to the same month of the previous year, egg production increased by 4.1%, the number of slaughtered chickens rose by 10.0%, chicken meat production grew by 11.8%, and turkey meat production increased by 16.7%. In the January-September period, compared to the same period of the previous year, egg production increased by 4.8%, the number of slaughtered chickens rose by 6.9%, chicken meat production grew by 6.3%, and turkey meat production increased by 17.1%.
