TravelX Ideathon Concluded: A Collaborative Innovation Challenge by THY and Techcareer.net
Foreks - The TravelX Ideathon, organized under the leadership of Turkish Airlines (IS:THYAO) (THY) in collaboration with Techcareer.net, has concluded. This year, during Teknofest held in Adana, the AI Damaged Luggage Detection System project was awarded first place. The personalized travel assistant Anser AI project took second place, while the mobile application Turkish Airlines EcoFlight for flight carbon emission balancing secured third place.
The TravelX Ideathon, led by Turkish Airlines (THY) in cooperation with Techcareer.net, began with a Bootcamp held at the THY General Headquarters from August 23-25, 2024.
During the training process, where 27 teams matured their projects, the concepts were developed based on criteria such as innovation, feasibility, customer experience, and technical competence. Techcareer.net, which managed the announcement process of TravelX Ideathon, ensured that the event reached a wider audience than previous events, supported by promotional efforts on social media and other communication channels.
As part of the event, a comprehensive Bootcamp program organized by Techcareer.net exceeded two days, aiming to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in areas such as technology trends, innovative thinking, project development, and presentation techniques. In the trainings held at Turkish Airlines General Directorate, participants received practical training from expert trainers and THY mentors.
The AI Damaged Luggage Detection System project won first place. In the final phase, participants presented their projects again to the jury at the THY General Directorate, and winners were determined as a result of the evaluations. The process, which concluded on September 13 when the top 11 teams presented their projects to a jury composed of THY executives and relevant experts, resulted in three teams earning awards. The AI Damaged Luggage Detection System project was deemed worthy of first place, while the personalized travel assistant Anser AI project came in second. The Turkish Airlines EcoFlight mobile application for flight carbon emission balancing ranked third.
The winners of the TravelX Ideathon were rewarded with Mil Points. As a result of the TravelX Ideathon, which paves the way for innovative ideas that will shape the future of travel, the top three teams designated by the jury received their awards. During the ceremony held at Teknofest in Adana, each member of the first-place team received 90,000 Mil Points, the second team received 60,000 Mil Points, and the third team was awarded 30,000 Mil Points.
